Cordy Lon, Thanks
I have been trying for some 20 years to find Cordy Lon’s demo tape—they were a sometimes quartet from Athens, GA, early ’90s, and they played some cool music. Think moody cello meets folk angst. Gang of Four meets Nick Drake. On a codeine bender. In Elliott Smith’s basement. Good stuff.
Anywho, they put out a cassette tape (maybe 200 copies?) and mine was stolen in 1993 by someone who will hopefully learn that karma is more than just a chameleon. I would kill to get my hands on a studio-quality dub of these songs. Kill, I say. ..sadly, it appears, they are now but a footnote in the annals of the Athens music scene, and I’ll never hear their music again. Crap.
Yes, you’ll hear them again.

One of my favorite Athens bands, ever, ever, ever.
Really hope this re-blog makes it onto your radar. I know full well what it’s like to search for something for years. I still own my cassette of Misanthropic but it’s so old I never play it anymore.
Holy crap. It’s a Festivus miracle! The internet has a purpose!
You, sir, are no party pooper. At least not a 24 hour one. 22, 23, tops. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to find this “My Space” thing you keep talking about…
